Teacher of Chemistry

• Diverse Chemistry teaching across key stages including GCSE and A-level where applicable.
• Plan and deliver realistic practical and theoretical lessons in line with the National Curriculum and exam specifications.
• Ensure safe practice in laboratories and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Inspire students to pursue science‑related pathways.
• Contribute to curriculum planning within the science department.
• Assess, record, and report student progress accurately.
• Use assessment data to inform teaching and intervention strategies.
• Act as a form tutor if required.
• Support STEM enrichment activities such as clubs, competitions, or trips.
• Promote high standards of behaviour and engagement.
• Maintain rigorous safeguarding standards.
• Participate in CPD, departmental meetings, and whole‑school events.
• Contribute positively to the life and ethos of the school.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
• Experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level.

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
