Academics are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded school in Canterbury who are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of English to join their leadership team from April 2026
.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious English specialist to lead and develop a successful department, driving high standards of teaching and learning across Key Stages.

• Lead, manage, and inspire the English department
• Develop and implement an engaging and effective English curriculum
• Monitor student progress and raise attainment
• Support and mentor staff within the department
• Contribute to whole-school improvement and leadership initiatives

• Hold QTS (or equivalent)
• Be an experienced English teacher, ideally with leadership or management experience
• Demonstrate a strong track record of raising achievement
• Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English
• Be committed to high standards and inclusive education
