LSA ( Learning Support Assistant ) - Canterbury

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and making a genuine difference every day? We are working with a specialist SEN school in Canterbury that is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their supportive and forward-thinking team.

This specialist provision supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD, providing a structured, nurturing, and highly personalised learning environment. Class sizes are small, with a strong focus on emotional regulation, communication skills, and tailored academic support.

The Role:

LSA

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASC and ADHD

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons

Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours

Help implement EHCP targets and individual support plans

Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment

What we're looking for:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ASC, or ADHD (school, care, youth work, or similar settings)

Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Psychology degree, or similar) are desirable but not essential

** £85 - £100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
