Teacher - SEN Education SEMH Canterbury
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN provision in Canterbury seeking a committed and resilient SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school that specialises in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours.
This well-established specialist setting provides a structured, therapeutic learning environment for students who require additional behavioural and emotional support. With small class sizes, strong pastoral support, and a focus on relationship-building
, the school prioritises both academic progress and personal development.
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Manage and support pupils displaying challenging behaviours using positive behaviour strategies
- Work closely with LSAs, therapists, and senior leadership to implement EHCPs and behaviour plans
- Foster a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
- Track and monitor student progress, adapting teaching approaches where required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEMH, PRU, or SEN settings is highly desirable
Confident classroom management and de-escalation skills
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
£170 - £260 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
