Position: New Entrant Roll Growth Teacher

Full time, Fixed term,

Start Date:

28/04/2026, End Date: 08/12/2026 (Roll growth class)

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher
English, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori

We are looking for an energetic and experienced New Entrant teacher to join us for Terms 2, 3 and 4, 2026. There will be pre‑entry visits in Term 1 and it would be an advantage if the successful candidate could attend these.

An understanding of the unique needs of children when they first enter school is an important part of this position. You will have a proven ability to build strong and positive relationships with children as well as their whānau.

The ability to build a caring and supportive classroom environment that nurtures children as they transition to our school is key.

A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi which is reflected in your classroom practice is important to us.

    Demonstrated ability to teach effectively, with a strong grasp of pedagogy and student engagement strategies for junior students.

    Highly organised, efficient and capable of managing a dynamic schedule.
