About The Role

Help aspiring professionals go further with a first‑class teaching experience. As a Lecturer in Travel and Tourism at Canterbury College, you will bring the exciting world of travel, tourism and hospitality to life, delivering engaging and industry‑relevant learning experiences that prepare students for successful careers.

You will teach, coach and assess students across a range of learning environments, creating an inclusive and inspiring atmosphere where learners can thrive. Working closely with students, you will provide the guidance, encouragement and support they need to achieve their full potential and progress confidently towards their career goals.

In addition to teaching, you will

The role is 22.5 hours per week, with a salary of £21,958 to £24,056, offering flexibility and an excellent work‑life balance. We support those new to teaching with ongoing training and coaching through our Teacher Academy, including digital skills support. If you do not have teaching experience or qualifications but have a passion for sharing knowledge, you can be considered.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons across Level 2 to Level 3 Travel and Tourism programmes. Coach, assess and support learners, tracking progress and providing targeted interventions. Maintain an inclusive environment and inspire learners to achieve and succeed.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Ability to teach across Level 2 to Level 3 Travel and Tourism programmes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, empathetic approach.
  • Confidence in classroom management.
  • Experience teaching or delivering workplace training desirable, but not essential.
