Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - SEN Schools

Academics are working with a range of specialist SEN schools across East Kent who are seeking passionate and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support their students. We offer flexible opportunities to suit you – whether you're looking for day‑to‑day cover to keep things varied, or a long‑term placement to build consistency and relationships.

The Role:

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. This may include:

  • Leading small group interventions and occasionally covering classes
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and group basis
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support
  • Helping to manage behaviour positively and effectively
SEN Needs You'll Be Supporting:

You will primarily be working with students with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
