We are looking for a teacher who is able to work as part of the learning support team with junior secondary learners (Years 9 to 11). This position may suit a primary trained teacher.

We are looking for a kind, organised and committed teacher who can work alongside our fantastic team. This role would suit a flexible, passionate person who believes in equity and inclusion. An understanding of ORS learners would be an advantage. Knowledge and experience of New Zealand Curriculum Phase 1 is expected, and an enthusiasm for working with students with diverse needs.

As a teacher you will be passionate about both academic and personal success, be able to cultivate a learning community and have a desire to provide a genuine learner‑centred education.

At Rolleston College, we work to provide contextual learning opportunities that provide our learners with choice and agency, while still gaining the necessary skills, knowledge and qualifications. We believe in the concept of AKO and that we are all learners. Collaborative practice is fundamental to our curriculum and philosophy as educators.

As a restorative practice school we believe strongly in building and enhancing positive professional relationships with our learners. All teachers are expected to be involved in our whānau system and are active in providing mentoring and academic counselling to students in a warm and demanding way.
