As a Lecturer of A Level Economics at EKC Group, you'll inspire students to explore the forces shaping our world, developing their analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills and understanding of real‑world economic issues.

You’ll deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons across a range of learning environments, creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where every learner is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

In this role, you will:
  • Deliver inspiring and interactive A Level Economics lessons that bring economic theory to life.
  • Teach, assess and support students, helping them achieve excellent academic outcomes and progress to higher education or employment.
  • Plan, deliver and continually evaluate high‑quality study programmes that meet the needs of learners and the curriculum.
  • Monitor learner progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support to maximise achievement.
  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion and independent learning, helping students develop confidence in applying economic concepts to current affairs.
Position Details

This position is 14.5 hours per week with a salary of £14,151 up to £15,503. (Specific working pattern is to be confirmed)

About You

You’ll be a highly organised and creative educator, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that inspire learners. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills, a positive and empathetic approach, and the confidence to manage a classroom effectively. Tracking student progress and using this to plan targeted support and interventions will be a key part of your role.

Ideally, you’ll have experience teaching or delivering training in the workplace, although this isn’t essential as full training will be provided. You’ll be able to teach across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes and motivate learners to achieve and succeed in their studies.

Salary Scale Explanation

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. (Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval).

Therefore, internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
