About The Role

Lecturer of A Level Economics at EKC Group, you'll inspire students to explore the forces shaping our world, developing their analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills and understanding of real‑world economic issues. You'll deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across a range of learning environments, creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where every learner is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

• Deliver inspiring and interactive A Level Economics lessons that bring economic theory to life.
• Teach, assess and support students, helping them achieve excellent academic outcomes and progress to higher education or employment.
• Plan, deliver and continually evaluate high-quality study programmes that meet the needs of learners and the curriculum.
• Monitor learner progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support to maximise achievement.
• Encourage critical thinking, discussion and independent learning, helping students develop confidence in applying economic concepts to current affairs.

This position is 14.5 hours per week with a salary of £14,151 up to £15,503 (specific working pattern is to be confirmed). We pride ourselves in the support we can give those who are new to teaching, with ongoing training and coaching through our Teacher Academy which includes digital skills support. You’ll be a highly organised and creative educator, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that inspire learners. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills, a positive and empathetic approach, and the confidence to manage a classroom effectively. Tracking student progress and using this to plan targeted support and interventions will be a key part of your role. Ideally, you’ll have experience teaching or delivering training in the workplace, although this isn’t essential as full training will be provided.

You’ll be able to teach across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes and motivate learners to achieve and succeed in their studies.
