About The Role

Turn your accounting expertise into inspiration for the next generation! As an Accounting Lecturer at Canterbury College, you’ll inspire and develop the next generation of finance professionals by delivering engaging, industry‑relevant teaching across both 16–18 and adult learning programmes. Whether learners are taking their first steps into accounting or looking to advance their careers, you’ll help them build the confidence, knowledge and practical skills they need to succeed.
You’ll teach, support and assess students in a variety of learning environments, creating an inclusive and high‑quality learning experience that enables every learner to reach their full potential. You’ll also lead on designated study programmes and part‑time courses, taking responsibility for the design, delivery and continuous improvement of the curriculum to ensure it remains innovative, engaging and aligned with industry needs.
We pride ourselves in the support we can give those who are new to teaching, with ongoing training and coaching through our Teacher Academy which includes digital skills support. If you do not have any teaching experience or teacher qualifications but have a passion for sharing your knowledge, we would like to consider you for this role.

About YouHighly organised and creative educator, able to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that inspire learners. Strong interpersonal skills, a positive and empathetic approach, and the confidence to manage a classroom effectively. Track student progress and use this to plan targeted support and interventions.
Ideally, experience teaching or delivering training in an accounting environment, although full training will be provided. Able to teach across Level 2 to Level 3 programmes in accounting and business and motivate learners to achieve and succeed in their studies.
