Position: Site Manager - Full-time

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive, and reliable Site Manager to join our team in our brand-new school building. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in site management, general maintenance, caretaking, and the day-to‑day operational management of a school environment.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, a positive and flexible approach, and a genuine commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming learning environment. They will take pride in the appearance and upkeep of the school site, ensuring it is well maintained and supports the needs of pupils, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will have practical experience in maintenance, decorating, minor building works and DIY, with the confidence and ability to complete tasks independently to a high standard. The role will include responsibility for supporting the management of site systems, including those associated with our new school, ensuring effective operation, monitoring and maintenance. The successful applicant will be organised, adaptable and able to manage a varied workload, including planned maintenance, compliance checks, contractor liaison and improvement projects.

We recognise the importance of flexibility within this role and are open to a flexible working approach. The successful candidate may be required to adjust working patterns, including split shifts or varying hours, to meet the needs of the school, complete specific projects, or carry out tasks when children are off site. This flexibility will be balanced with the operational needs of the school and the requirements of the role.

The post is for 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year with 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
. The successful applicant will work closely with the Headteacher and the Trust Business Team to ensure the school site is effectively managed, providing a clean, tidy, safe and inspiring environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

We are seeking someone who is reliable, resourceful and takes genuine pride in their work and the school community, with the confidence, initiative and practical skills to make a positive contribution to the continued success of the school.

The post will start as soon as possible with initial induction and training available in agreement with the successful candidate.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to provide excellent references and to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure.
