Background of Department / Role

We are looking for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance for the School of Business, Law and Policing at Canterbury Christ Church University. The role involves delivering specialist knowledge of Accounting & Finance and teaching across levels to students on both specialist and generalist courses.

Provide high quality and future‑proof management of modules, ensuring effective teaching and assessment design.

Deliver pastoral and academic advice to students, implement established quality assurance processes, and contribute to the design and implementation of quality enhancement initiatives.

Demonstrate creativity and innovation in planning and delivering seminars, workshops, tutorials, dissertation and project supervision, and other learning opportunities, including face‑to‑face, blended, virtual, corporate/post‑experience and international delivery.

Provide academic leadership in the development of new modules and programmes, a requirement for appointment at Senior Lecturer level.

Ph.D. (or equivalent standard) and preferably a professional qualification.

The role is flexible and student‑facing. Campus attendance will vary day‑to‑day and throughout the year, but majority of working time should be spent on campus.
