Due to an internal promotion, Best Start Wigram is seeking a passionate, dedicated qualified registered teacher to join our close-knit team as head teacher in our Tahi Building.

This permanent, 40-hour-per-week role, Monday to Friday, is ideal for an experienced leader ready to share their strengths, extend their knowledge and embrace a new challenge.

Our purpose-designed centre supports tamariki across seven age-specific classrooms. In Tahi, children learn and play across two spacious classrooms and a large, flexible outdoor area designed to encourage exploration, confidence, independence and problem-solving.

About you

We’re looking for a natural leader with:

• A Bachelor of Education or Diploma of Teaching, Level 7 in ECE
• Current Teacher Certification
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• A strong understanding of Te Whāriki, planning, assessment and ECE pedagogy
• Knowledge of current ECE regulations and a commitment to compliance
• Passion, energy and dedication to quality teaching and learning
