Te Kura o Makonui – Springston School is a vibrant semi-rural Year 0–8 school located just outside Christchurch. We are committed to inspiring excellence and outstanding character through a culture where every learner is known, valued and supported to thrive.

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and passionate Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) to join our team in a 0.45 FTTE permanent position.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate learning support across our school to ensure every learner can access meaningful, inclusive learning opportunities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a registered New Zealand teacher with a current practising certificate.
  • Has a strong understanding of inclusive education and learning support.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, coaching and facilitation skills.
  • Builds positive, respectful relationships with learners, whānau, staff and external agencies.
  • Has knowledge of the Learning Support Delivery Model and Ministry of Education learning support processes.
  • Is highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Is committed to culturally responsive practice and honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
