Cashmere Early Learning Centre is a small, family-owned early learning centre in Christchurch, licensed for 30 tamariki aged 2 years and over. We pride ourselves on providing a calm, nurturing and respectful environment where tamariki are genuinely known, valued and supported to thrive.

We value responsive relationships, intentional teaching and meaningful learning experiences.

As a mixed age centre, we are looking for a kaiako who feels confident building relationships with tamariki across different ages and stages and who enjoys working collaboratively as part of one teaching team.

Our curriculum is grounded inTe Whāriki, withKōwhiti Whakapaesupporting us to notice, recognise and respond meaningfully to children's learning and progress.

Hours:

Full time, Monday to Friday, with rostered shifts between7:45 am and 5:30 pm.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has current New Zealand teacher registration and a practising certificate
  • Has a sound understanding ofTe Whāriki, Kōwhiti Whakapaeand quality early childhood teaching practice
  • Builds warm, respectful and responsive relationships with tamariki
  • Values children's identity, language, culture and individual learning journey
  • Can contribute meaningfully to assessment, planning and intentional teaching
  • Builds positive and professional relationships with whānau and colleagues
  • Is reliable, flexible and willing to contribute as part of a collaborative team
  • Brings warmth, initiative and a genuine passion for early childhood education
