Due to an internal promotion, Avonside Girls’ High School is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of English to guide our agile and collaborative English department through 2027 and beyond.
The successful candidate will be an innovative and inspiring teacher, who is committed to raising outcomes for students and supporting staff with curriculum design and pedagogical growth. They will foster a positive department culture through building shared kaupapa and effective communication. A commitment to the strategic vision of the kura is essential, as is a focus on high expectations and equity.
