Are you a passionate, positive, and committed kaiako looking for a warm, supportive centre where you can make a difference?

Avonhead Early Edventurers is seeking a qualified and registered ECE teacher (or teacher nearing qualification this year) to join our wonderful team. This is a full-time, 40-hour role in our small nursery space, as one of our kaiako moves on to pursue a new opportunity.

At AEE, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We are a multicultural centre where kaiako, tamariki and whānau from a wide range of backgrounds feel welcome, valued, and connected. We are a genuinely caring and supportive team where your ideas, strengths, and individuality are valued.

We offer full pay parity, paid monthly staff meetings, individual ECELU subscriptions, and a strong, well-structured PGC programme. Our teaching team is fun, collaborative, and committed to high-quality learning grounded in aroha, respect, and play-based pedagogy.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • hold a NZ ECE teaching qualification and teacher registration, or are completing your qualification this year
  • have ECE experience and confidence with planning, learning stories, and internal evaluation
  • build warm relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
  • bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine love of ECE
  • are a positive team player
  • value bicultural practice and enjoy working in a multicultural environment.

We prioritise hauora and staff wellbeing through regular check-ins, guidance, support, and opportunities to reflect.

If you’re ready to join a centre where you feel appreciated, supported, and part of a real whānau, we’d love to hear from you!
