Our brilliant rural school of 107 tamariki set in an incredible taiao | environment with awesome ākonga, kaimahi, board and parents/caregivers is seeking a new deputy principal | tumuaki tuarua and classroom teacher. This position is for someone who is looking for their next leadership step.

We would like a teacher and leader who is community-minded, adaptable, enjoys a laugh, approachable, organised, innovative, passionate, supportive, balanced (work-life balance), positive and a team player. You will:

• be an excellent practitioner who is a dedicated and collaborative leader
• have a passion for educating the future generation of rangatahi and be motivated to make a positive difference with all ākonga and our school community
• enjoy being challenged, be a team player and bring energy to your position
• have experience leading curriculum implementation and assessment
• have a strong knowledge of effective teaching and learning across Years 3 to 6
• promote learner agency, integrated inquiry and be innovative
• have strengths in structured literacy and mathematics, as well as coaching and mentoring
• actively engage in all aspects of our school - pastoral care, leading curriculum development, collaborative teaching, student progress and achievement
• work well within the leadership team (Principal and AP), kaimahi and board with scope for autonomy and where a shared leadership approach exits
