Quantity SurveyorWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering projects across the UK. The role will sit within the commercial team, reporting to the Commercial Manager, and will involve a combination of office-based working and travel to project sites as required.

The successful candidate will take commercial responsibility for assigned projects, managing applications for payment, variations, procurement, contractual matters, cost and value reporting, forecasting and commercial risk. You will also work closely with project teams to ensure contractual requirements and commercial procedures are understood and followed.Key Responsibilities

• Administer main contracts and subcontracts, including payment mechanisms, change procedures and final accounts.
• Manage contractual notices, time bars, payment provisions and change control.
• Maintain commercial registers covering variations, compensation events, payments, correspondence and instructions.
• Provide contractual advice and prepare relevant commercial correspondence.
• Work with standard forms of contract including NEC, FIDIC and JCT, alongside bespoke agreements where required.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasting and commercial controls.
