An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Casual Theatre Technician to join our Technical Department at Kent College, Canterbury. The Technical Department is responsible to ensure the highest standards of upkeep, maintenance and day‑to‑day running of our technical equipment. Alongside this, the Casual Theatre Technician will be an important part of our venue team, helping to deliver and support our shows and events held in our award‑winning 600‑seat auditorium, The Great Hall.

ThePosition
The position is casual, working on an as‑and‑when‑needed basis and will include weekdays, weekends and evenings. The role will involve supporting the Technical Department and ensuring high standards of technical equipment as outlined below.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Technical Department in maintaining and running technical equipment for shows and events.
- Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of equipment to keep the 600‑seat auditorium, The Great Hall, ready for performances.
- Work on an as‑needed basis, covering weekdays, weekends and evenings as required.
- Familiarity with the equipment available in-house.
- Keen interest in technical theatre.
- Flexible approach to work, able to work on an as‑needed basis including evenings and weekends.
