Credit Controller

Credit Controller Professional Services Environment Fresh People are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller on behalf of a well-established and growing professional services organisation based in Canterbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business with a strong reputation in its sector, where you will play a key role in supporting cash flow management, maintaining client relationships and ensuring the effective collection of outstanding fees.

The Role Reporting into the Finance Team, you will be responsible for managing the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices whilst maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities Proactively manage and collect outstanding debt. Maintain and monitor the sales ledger. Build positive working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently. Produce aged debt reports and collection updates. Allocate and reconcile customer payments. Monitor overdue accounts and agree payment plans where appropriate. Escalate issues where necessary and support dispute resolution. Assist with month-end reporting and debtor analysis.

Support continuous improvement of credit control processes and procedures. About You Previous Credit Control experience is essential. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Professional and confident telephone manner. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Competent with Microsoft Excel and finance systems.

Experience with in a professional services, legal, financial services or accountancy environment would be advantageous but not essential What's On Offer Professional and supportive working environment.
