Are you a caring, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting others to live meaningful and fulfilling lives? Homelands is looking for compassionate Support Workers to join our residential care team and make a genuine difference every day.
We currently have up to 100 hours available and welcome applications from both full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time candidates.
At Homelands, we provide person-centred residential care in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. Our focus is empowering residents to live with dignity, choice, and independence, while ensuring they feel valued and supported.
- £12.39 per hour
- Full-time salary: approximately £24,160 per annum (37.5 hours per week)
- Additional payments for sleep-ins, awake nights, weekends, and bank holidays
As a Support Worker at Homelands, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their day-to-day lives and helping them achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting residents to identify, work towards, and achieve their individual goals
- Providing practical and emotional support in a compassionate, person-centred way
- Promoting independence, dignity, and well-being at all times
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a safe, high-quality, and inclusive residential care service
- Working a flexible rota, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Undertaking sleep-in shifts to provide overnight support when required
We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and caring individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives. Previous experience is not essential – the right values, attitude, and willingness to learn are what matter most.
You should have:
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Patience, resilience, and a positive, caring approach
- A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care and support
- Willingness to work towards a Level 2 Diploma (or above) in Health and Social Care
- Basic IT and computer skills
- A responsible, flexible, and dependable approach to work
No prior experience or qualifications are required. Full training is provided, ensuring you feel confident and supported in your role.
What We Offer- Competitive hourly rate of £12.39
- 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata), increasing with long service (3, 4, and 5 years)
