Medicare People is seeking kind and committed Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Canterbury to support individuals who need assistance to live safely and independently a live-in carer, you'll provide personalised one-to-one care that helps clients maintain their dignity, choice, and quality of life.
As a Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Canterbury, no two placements are exactly the same. You'll deliver tailored support based on individual needs, helping with daily routines, personal care, companionship, meal preparation, and other practical tasks that make a real difference.
This is a rewarding opportunity to develop meaningful relationships while providing care that is centred around each client's preferences and goals. We offer flexible placements, covered living arrangements while on assignment, and ongoing support from our dedicated team.
We provide live-in care services throughout Canterbury and the surrounding areas, creating rewarding opportunities for carers who are passionate about delivering exceptional care.

What you'll do
- Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs
- Provide companionship and build trusted relationships
- Assist with personal care and daily routines
- Support safe mobility and moving and handling
- Prepare meals and drinks throughout the day
- Administer medication according to care plans
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry and household tasks
Support clients with shopping and prescription collection - Observe and report any changes in health or wellbeing
- Work alongside families and healthcare professionals
- Keep care documentation accurate and up to date
- Help clients maintain dignity, independence and choice
What you'll bring
- Minimum 6 months' professional care experience in the UK
- A caring attitude and genuine desire to help others
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working independently and managing your time
- Experience supporting clients with daily living activities
- Adaptability and a positive approach to care
- Reliability, professionalism and attention to detai
- A commitment to person-centred support
- Right to work in the UK
- Medication experience is desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is welcomed but not essential
