Salary and Benefits £35000 per annum 25 days holiday 8 bank holidays Hybrid working model in place Free parking on site Main duties and responsibilities Managing end-to-end monthly payroll processing Manage statutory payments (PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, etc.), RTI returns, P11
Ds, and year-end reporting Ensure compliance and develop a comprehensive knowledge of payroll, benefits taxation, pension, and data protection legislation and keep up to date with developments accordingly Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly utilising pre payroll reconciliation reports, preparatory pre and payroll and benefits audit checks in order to gain authorisation to proceed to payment Preparing reports and data analysis ensuring data is accurate Perform payroll and benefits system testing and contribute ideas to improving the functionality and performance of the system Develop advanced SAP Success Factors skills and act as a Super-User in providing guidance and support to other team members Managing relationships with benefits and systems providers Preparing and validating payroll data including bonuses, one off payments and expenses Involvement in project work to improve and develop systems, processes and procedures and to deliver improvement initiatives to the organisation Maintaining accurate records, SOPs and systems Administering employee benefits and responding to payroll and benefits queries Provide expert advice within the organisation and externally, where required Liaise with internal and external auditors, to ensure compliance with policy, procedures and statutory requirements at all times Produce total reward statements and support pay, benefits and reward policy development Supporting employee engagement through delivering effective customer service and support Drive awareness of payroll, benefits and reward frameworks across the organisation Operate in line with group wide policies including EHS and ED&I Any other responsibilities deemed suitable to the role and where trained to do so Skills desired CIPP qualification or commitment to work towards Strong understanding of UK payroll and benefits processes and statutory requirements Experience handling sensitive data and working with payroll and benefits systems with a commitment to confidentiality are essential.
Confident using excel and highly organised Have the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and influencing skills Have a proactive and solutions driven mindset High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
