An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinical Specialist Nurse (WTE) to join our established Multiple Sclerosis team in East Kent, alongside the MS team, to deliver excellent patient care and be part of a dynamic, flexible, supportive and forward‑thinking Neurology workforce.
For this post we require your enthusiasm, motivation and passion to help deliver a patient‑focused service which is based on evidence with the patient at the core of every aspect of their own pathway. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the visions and values of our specialty and the Trust. They will not only work autonomously, managing their own caseload, but work as a team member ensuring timely communication and collaborative working across many services.
Do you have those skills? The practitioner must work competently at an enhanced practice level providing care aligned to the four pillars of advanced practice. It is envisaged that 80% of this role will be spent working in the clinical area, as part of an agreed job plan.
The post holder will work and develop further at an enhanced level of practice utilising post‑graduate experience, knowledge and skills in MS specialty. They will manage discrete aspects of a patient’s care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team, within their scope of practice, aligned to the four pillars of practice and aligned to Trust policy, ‘Enhanced, Advanced and Consultant Level Practice‑ Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs)’, contributing to nursing/midwifery/AHP practice which improves the quality of care to patients.
