** About the role
** Join our Wastewater Treatment Team to maintain and repair wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations. Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement.
** What you will be responsible for:
*** Undertake reactive and planned maintenance of mechanical and electrical plant and equipment across wastewater treatment works, sludge centres, and pumping stations.
* Install and commission new plant and equipment as required, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
* Respond to alarms and diagnose faults, carrying out repairs or escalating issues promptly to minimise downtime and environmental impact.
* Perform inspection and testing on both mechanical and electrical systems, following company procedures and statutory requirements.
* Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Accurately update company systems and databases with maintenance records, fault reports, and compliance documentation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and environmental performance.# #
** What you’ll bring to the role:**## Essential
* Level 3 NVQ Mechanical and/or Electrical qualification with certificates.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* A problem solver, able to identify potential issues and implement solutions, or escalating if required.
* An excellent communicator, providing technical expertise to Internal and External contractors.
* Resilient, adapting to the pressures of work and working in a constantly changing environment.## Desirable
* Experience in water industry.
* Strong understanding of pumping station operation and wastewater treatment process.
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation.# # #
