Housing Management Assistant

LOCATION:

Canterbury

SALARY: £13.85 + holiday pay (£15.52)

DURATION:
Temp for an initial 2 months, possibility for extension

HOURS:

37.5 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for a positive, motivated and people-focused Housing Management Assistant to join our Canterbury team on a temporary basis.

You’ll help ensure our supported accommodation is safe, well-maintained and welcoming, working closely with Homeless & Prevention Coaches and external partners to support vulnerable people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular property, health & safety and compliance checks.
  • Support residents with practical housing management.
  • Report and follow up repairs, damage and maintenance issues.
  • Ensure rooms and communal areas are clean, safe and ready for residents.
  • Manage tenancy and licence agreements and explain residents’ responsibilities.
  • Recognise and report safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Liaise with landlords, Housing Associations, Local Authorities and other agencies.
  • Maintain accurate housing, financial and administrative records.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and the local community.

Essential:
Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, plus experience of working with different agencies/professionals and some knowledge or experience of housing management, health & safety or housing law.

Experience supporting homeless or vulnerable people is desirable but not essential.
