ALL ABOUT ON DEMANDYou can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule.
As an On-Demand TM you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule.
Active engagement is required by picking up and working shifts and responding to our attempts contact you throughout the year and confirm your interest in working shifts. If we do not respond, your employment may be administratively terminated. Regular attendance is necessary and you must respond to contact attempts and work shifts to stay active (minimum four hours every 4 weeks).
Flexibility can be granted for personal circumstances, but you must respond to confirm interest. You must work at least one shift within 5 months (as of December 2024) or your employment may be administratively terminated.
You will be offered a Target Welcome orientation and must commit to a short-term structured training schedule before using the myTime app to pick up shifts.
ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENTAdvocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery. Knowledgeable about in-store and digital services and features that drive adoption and loyalty. Able to make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while maintaining high quality.

As a Guest Advocate, a typical day includes:
Delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming experience
Observing and responding to guest needs
Engaging with guests to understand needs and resolve issues
Knowing tools, products, and services to solve guest issues
Thanking guests and acknowledging their visit
Scanning and bagging items efficiently and safely
Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
Informing guests of brand launches and store activities
Guiding guests on Target Loyalty programs and fulfillment services
Demonstrating how to use Wallet and Target App features
Handling returns following policies; collaborating with Leaders as needed
Escalating and recovering guest experiences appropriately
Providing easy service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
Maintaining a clean work area and stocking supplies during store hours
Demonstrating ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
Working safely, identifying hazards, and following safety policies
Supporting guest services as needed, including compliance with applicable laws
All other duties based on business needs
