Oasis Consulting Services is currently hiring a Laboratory Manager to support our AASHTO-certified construction materials testing laboratory in Canton, Georgia office and Metro Atlanta region. Applicants will be responsible for laboratory operations, staffing, equipment, oversight of testing, and ensuring samples are tested in a timely fashion. Level and pay commensurate with experience.
Job Description- Receive, track, and report results for construction materials samples
- Run relevant tests and monitor other staff members assisting with tests, such as proctors or Atterberg limits testing
- Manage system to ensure timely testing and reporting of all samples
- Maintain laboratory and methods according to AASHTO, ASTM, and other relevant requirements
- Ensure laboratory remains organized and clean
- Monitor budget to operate within target margins
- Ensure laboratory is properly staffed with trained personnel at all times
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, construction management or other related field
- 3-5 years of experience in construction materials testing, preferably in a laboratory setting
- Preferred but not required: EIT or GIT certificate, 40-Hour HAZWOPER and 8-hour Refreshers, other ACI or relevant certificates
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; experience using Metafield a plus
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
