Help shape the future of transportation in Cherokee County! We’re seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to serve as a roadway transportation and traffic engineering subject matter expert within the Community Development Agency.
This leadership-level position will oversee complex transportation and traffic engineering projects, support countywide mobility and safety initiatives, provide technical guidance to staff and consultants, and collaborate with municipalities, GDOT, regional partners, developers, and the community.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who is a self‑motivated, solutions‑driven problem solver with strong project management, analytical, communication, and customer service skills. Experience with traffic engineering, transportation planning, ITS, traffic simulation software, and GIS is highly valued.
