JOB SUMMARY:
The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and treatment of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Outpatient medical consultation services under the supervision of a physician in our medical office.
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patients’ medical conditions.
- Conducting follow-up patient care.
- Ordering and interpreting lab, radiology, and other diagnostic study results.
- Prescribing and referring patients for consultations when appropriate.
- Answering emergency telephone calls on a rotating schedule.
- Administering and ordering drugs for patients.
- Completing all notes/tasks in patients’ EMR accounts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.
- Performing patient physicals.
- Providing health education to patients and families.
- Supervising/coordinating the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
- Performing other duties as assigned in accordance with a nurse protocol agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
- Minimum 1-year clinical experience in Primary Care, Family Practice, or Urgent Care [required]
- Master’s in Nursing or Master’s in Physician Assistant [required]
- Current Licensed as Family Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant in Georgia [required]
- Current board certification by AANP/ANCC (NPs) or NCCPA (PAs) [required]
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility to obtain [preferred]
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
