Infusion Center Supervisor
The Infusion Center Supervisor leads the outpatient infusion clinic team, ensuring comprehensive care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patients and families with chronic health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to the infusion clinic staff: develop and manage the staffing plan, conduct interviews, make selection recommendations, set objectives and goals, implement a site training and communication plan, and provide ongoing feedback and training.
- Perform administrative duties including approving timecards, PTO, and other personnel matters.
- Provide patient and family‑centered IV infusion care, fostering coordinated communication among all healthcare team members.
- Advocate for patients and families in infusion care, ensuring their involvement in decision‑making.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians, health professionals, agencies, patients, and families. Foster a team model that promotes mutual respect and trust.
- Review, update, and recommend relevant clinical and administrative policies, procedures, and education to assure high‑quality patient care.
- Actively participate in quality initiatives, maintain accurate and timely records and reports, and support patient service and program reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school; current unrestricted board certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the state of practice. An accredited Physician Assistant degree with an active, unrestricted license may serve as a substitute. Must hold a current BLS certification.
Experience: Minimum 2 years as an NP or APN in a clinical setting, OR 3+ years as a Registered Nurse with oncology, ER, ICU, and/or infusion center experience, plus 1–2 years managing staff. Demonstrated clinical expertise in treating patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
