Overview
Freight/Receiving role at The Home Depot. Associates ensure the store is stocked and ready for business each day. They load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area throughout the store, may operate forklifts, and maintain proper on-hands and pricing for customers. Direct customer interaction is frequently required and excellent customer service skills are needed. The Freight/Receiving positions may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate and Receiving Support.
Responsibilities- Load and unload trucks and move material from the receiving area throughout the store
- Operate forklifts where required
- Maintain proper on-hands and pricing for customers
- Interact with customers to provide excellent service
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving merchandise
- Willingness to work in a retail environment with varying shifts
