Electrician - BAS​/EMS Division

Overview

Place Services, Inc. with headquarters based in Canton, GA (Atlanta area) has an immediate need for an experienced Commercial Electrician to work across multiple geographic regions including South Alabama, Atlanta, GA, Knoxville, TN, and the Raleigh, NC area. This high‑travel position will involve primarily night work with the possibility of some day‑shift assignments.

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints and building plans.
• Install and mount electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
• Test electrical systems and verify circuit continuity in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices.
• Inspect installation sites and review work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate causes of breakdowns and correct problems.

• 1–2 years of commercial electrician construction experience with temperature control systems, lighting control, and refrigeration systems/controls—EMS/BAS (Energy Management Systems or Building Automation Systems).
• Experience with Emerson, CPC, Novar, Danfoss, or similar control systems preferred.
• OSHA and CPR training a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, in accordance with Fleet Policy.
• Physically able to walk long distances, bend, crouch, climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift or carry up to fifty pounds repetitively.
• Prompt and detailed communicator.
  
  Availability to work nights and/or Sundays.
• Knowledge of basic and commercial refrigeration (preferred for lead).
• EPA certification preferred but not required.
