Pilgrim’s in Canton, GA is looking for talented individuals to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and machines in the production areas.

Responsibilities include:

• Experienced and knowledgeable in equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors.
• Performing day-to-day maintenance and repairs.
• Conducting preventive maintenance checks.
• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, including mechanical and electrical issues.
• Supporting plant equipment and maintaining a safe environment complying with all regulations.
• Mounting compressors, condensers, and other components using hand tools and welding equipment.
• Testing system operation with gauges and instruments.
• Performing mechanical overhauls and reading blueprints for refrigeration systems.
• Testing for leaks, replacing worn parts, brazing or soldering joints, and connecting pipes.
• Dismantling systems, testing components, and installing materials and wiring as needed.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Routine maintenance and problem diagnosis.
• Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Conducting quality and performance tests.
• Monitoring gauges and understanding machine design, repair, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift, and work with tools and machinery.
• Ability to work in extreme heat and cold conditions.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of industrial mechanic experience in the food industry preferred.
• Basic computer skills a plus.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Quick learner, good decision-maker, team player.
• Valid driver’s license.
