We have implemented safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are working to ensure social distancing within our facility. We have installed physical barriers such as plexi-glass or plastic barriers between work stations. Each day, temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering. Face coverings are provided and required at all times inside the facility, along with regular cleaning and sanitation.
Responsibilities include:
- Experienced and knowledgeable in equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors.
- Performing day-to-day maintenance and repairs.
- Conducting preventive maintenance checks.
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, including mechanical and electrical issues.
- Supporting plant equipment and maintaining a safe environment complying with all regulations.
- Mounting compressors, condensers, and other components using hand tools and welding equipment.
- Testing system operation with gauges and instruments.
- Performing mechanical overhauls and reading blueprints for refrigeration systems.
- Testing for leaks, replacing worn parts, brazing or soldering joints, and connecting pipes.
- Dismantling systems, testing components, and installing materials and wiring as needed.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Routine maintenance and problem diagnosis.
- Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Conducting quality and performance tests.
- Monitoring gauges and understanding machine design, repair, and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift, and work with tools and machinery.
- Ability to work in extreme heat and cold conditions.
- HS diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of industrial mechanic experience in the food industry preferred.
- Basic computer skills a plus.
- Must pass a drug test.
- Quick learner, good decision-maker, team player.
- Valid driver’s license.
