Groundman

Phoenix Industrial Contracting LLC is seeking a dependable Groundman to support our electrical utility construction, maintenance, and repair operations throughout North Metro Georgia and surrounding service areas.

As a key member of our field crew, the Groundman supports daily job site operations through hands‑on assistance, material handling, and equipment preparation while working alongside skilled utility personnel. This role contributes to efficient project execution through dependable teamwork, safe work practices, and a commitment to quality.

This is a full-time, field-based position.

• Assist electrical utility crews with construction, maintenance, and repair activities involving utility poles and related infrastructure.
• Prepare, load, unload, transport, and organize materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily field operations.
• Support job site setup, equipment preparation, and end‑of‑day cleanup.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of company vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Learn and apply proper hand‑tool usage, equipment setup procedures, and fundamental overhead and underground utility operations.
• Follow company safety procedures, job site requirements, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving and vehicle eligibility standards.
• Ability to satisfy applicable pre‑employment drug testing requirements.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor labor in varying weather and job site conditions.
• Willingness to learn overhead and underground utility construction practices and follow established safety procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively, and ask questions when clarification is needed.

• Previous experience in electrical utility construction, general construction, industrial contracting, or related field operations.
• Familiarity with common construction hand tools, equipment, and job site safety practices.
• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in prior roles

Hourly rate: $18 - $22
