Minimum Qualifications- Valid Georgia Driver License
- Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate, and/or credential as may be required for this position
Ensure safe transportation for students.
RepresentativeDuties & Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with students
- Manage and control student behavior
- Assist with loading/unloading of students, including wheelchairs, and ensure all equipment and medical paraphernalia are properly stored and secured before the bus is moved
- Supervise seating arrangements
- Assist with emergency care of students with medical needs
- Assist with evacuation procedures
- Communicate and establish positive relationships with parents and school personnel
- Attend all in‑service training as required
- Assist driver in other related bus duties
- Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable, and punctual manner
- Participate in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to the assignment
- Review current developments, literature and technical source information related to job responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to good safety procedures
- Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies
- Observe universal precautions (when necessary)
- Properly dispose of bio‑hazardous materials, sharp items and unused or unidentified medications; report to administrator as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
