We are a leading regenerative medicine company in the advanced and acute wound care space, focused on growth and delivering life-changing solutions. The role involves quality control microbiology activities in support of product production and releases.
What You Will Achieve- Perform routine quality control microbiology activities in support of product production and releases.
- The position interacts with internal departments including Apligraf Production, Pura Ply Production, Quality Assurance, Validation, Calibration, Materials, and Logistics.
- May interact with external entities including contractors and suppliers.
- Conduct testing, trending, and reporting results to ensure regulatory compliance.
- AS or BS degree in Microbiology or related field; 1 or more years of experience in a GMP or similarly regulated environment preferred.
- Minimum of 25 hours/week gowning in classified areas; ISO 5, ISO 7, ISO 8, and CNC.
- Handling biohazardous materials and chemicals; basic laboratory safety procedures.
- Knowledge of cGMP and GLP regulations and compendial requirements preferred.
- Proficiency with computer software for data handling and reporting (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with testing techniques such as Environmental Monitoring, Bioburden, Endotoxin, and Growth Promotion preferred.
- 3-5 hours of standing per day with frequent stooping and lifting; use of repetitive hand movements (micropipetting and keyboard) for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting/moving up to 15 pounds.
- Pre-Employment Testing: visual acuity screening and periodic re-testing during employment (for performance of certain visual tests/assays).
- Laboratory environment with approximately 20% time in an office setting; fast-paced BL2 category lab requiring PPE and gowning in classified areas.
- Exposure to chemicals such as disinfectants and human tissue products.
