Project Manager – Timberline Communications Inc. (TCI)
Responsible for managing large‑scale wireless infrastructure projects, including new site builds and modifications to existing facilities. Fosters and maintains customer relationships, manages budgets, timelines, goals, internal staff and external vendors, and is accountable for achieving project milestones and revenue targets. Provides the primary interface between the company and the customer and works 80% office / 20% field.
Job Responsibilities- Manage large-scale projects that include multiple disciplines.
- Oversee all project activities, including pre‑construction services, coordination with architectural and engineering services, permitting, internal pre‑deployment meetings, client deployment meetings, and material ordering.
- Create and execute project work plans, revising them as needed to meet changing project requirements.
- Interface with clients and management daily on project status, ensuring workflow and milestone achievement.
- Provide leadership and direction for the project team, ensuring successful delivery of all project deliverables and contract compliance.
- Create and maintain strong client/customer relationships and communication.
- Interpret contract documents, communicate scope of work to the project team, and develop schedule and budget forecasts.
- Conduct weekly meetings with project staff to review site progress; oversee project tracking and documentation.
- Establish, manage, and control the project budget.
- Assess and manage project risks.
- Resolve and/or escalates issues promptly.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing; monitor receivables for the project.
- Understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, construction methods, materials, and regulations; familiarity with construction job‑costing, online collaboration, scheduling and estimating software.
- Flexible, works well in fast‑paced environments.
- Decisive, works well under pressure, especially during unexpected events or delays.
- Capacity to coordinate several major activities simultaneously, analyze and resolve specific problems; understanding of engineering, architectural, and construction drawings.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish working relationships with clients, managers, designers, superintendents, and crews.
- Availability to remain on call for site delays, adverse weather, or emergencies.
- College degree with 5‑7 years of construction Project Management experience preferred in the wireless or related field.
- OSHA 30‑hour certification required.
- Extensive travel to construction sites when not close to the main office or when responsible for activities at multiple sites.
- Work outdoors in inclement weather.
