Job Summary:
The Fabricator is responsible for creating, assembling, and repairing PVC, wood, and metal structures and components by reading blueprints or technical drawings. Fabricators transform raw materials into finished goods or structures tailored to specific designs or specifications, using various tools and machinery to cut, shape, weld, and produce PVC, wood, steel, and aluminum products. In addition to fabrication duties, the position includes material handling responsibilities to support efficient workflow, inventory control, and workplace safety.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, including wearing necessary safety gear (e.g., goggles, gloves, ear protection).
- Expedite materials and shipments that impact manufacturing or fabrication schedules.
- Ensure that Premier Fence, LLC’s quality and performance standards are met or exceeded on all jobs.
- Set up and use tools and equipment in assigned fabrication area.
- Perform precision work with either hand or machine tools.
- Operate various machinery to cut and shape parts from stock to finish and assemble parts already prepared.
- Understand and adhere to safety requirements and standards of the fabrication trade.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Apply problem‑solving skills to address fabrication challenges.
- Build projects using various joinery techniques common to the trade.
- Wear safety gear, such as goggles, shields, gloves and ear protection, when required or recommended.
- Assist in routine and non‑routine maintenance of equipment and report issues to management.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of materials used, fabricated, or created, including dates, locations, and relevant data.
- Help to maintain inventory, which includes keeping records in an inventory management system, reporting low stock as required, and distributing items from stock to fulfill requisitions.
- Ensure safe operation of equipment used to move and transport materials to and from the storage areas of the facility.
- Receive, store, and distribute products according to designated procedures and storage locations.
- Confirm fabrication details or special instructions that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
- Transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using forklift, hand trucks, skids and dunnage).
- Manage scrap disposal and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth material flow and on‑time delivery of products.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Efficient time management skills.
- Proficient with computer software.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening, including marijuana.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferably from a trade school.
- At least two years of related experience preferred.
- Two years of forklift experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Full range of body movements, including bending, reaching, and crouching.
- Strong sensory abilities, particularly vision (close vision, depth perception).
- Ability to lift up to 90 pounds regularly.
