Mechanical Services Senior Sales Executive

Responsibilities
  • Achieve new order/booking and profit goals based on your assigned quota.
  • Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities, forecasting expected order intake and consistently delivering on forecasted results.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitors, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals.
  • Develop vertical market and account management plans that focus on strategic growth, identify new business opportunities and craft “go‑to‑market” strategies.
  • Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customer’s organization by recommending services to ensure their building systems perform as required to achieve business goals.
  • Attend industry‑specific networking events and participate in professional organizations such as ASHRAE, AEE or USGBC to build a network of contacts and represent Siemens.
  • Consult with the customer to determine budgeting and investment requirements.
  • Position Siemens as an industry leader by leveraging Siemens world‑class digital service delivery.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
  • Work with internal sales support to spend more time with customers and with sales estimators to prepare cost estimates and bid packages.
  • Partner with other sales business teams to plan and acquire new projects and accounts.
  • Set pricing based on the identified value of services offered to the customer.
  • Coordinate with operations, finance, legal and other resources to obtain the sale.
  • Participate in sales department meetings, workshops and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business and product trends.
  • Spend a minimum of 50% of time in customer‑facing activities, both in person and on-site.
  • Support the existing customer base while acting as a hunter to bring in new customers.
  • Travel overnight up to 10% of the time for training and business development as required by the assigned territory.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related technical degree; candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least 10 years of HVAC service/sales industry experience will also be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or consulting within the Mechanical (HVAC) Service industry OR 3+ years in Service Field/Operations within the same industry.
  • Demonstrated financial expertise – estimating and selling technical service agreements and retrofit projects effectively and independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Organizational, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness and availability to travel 10% overnight for training and business development.
  • 21 years of age, valid driver’s license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1+ year of experience installing and servicing Mechanical or HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents.
  • Account development and strategic sales skills.
  • Strong networking relationships within the local building market (building owners, maintenance contractors, mechanical industry subcontractors).
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, education, data center, commercial office, and government facility vertical markets.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
