Title: Pharmacy Technician - Fulfillment Pharmacy
Location: Canton Township, MI 48188
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–8:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Employment Type: W2 Temp-to-Hire (High potential for permanent conversion)

This Pharmacy Technician - Fulfillment Pharmacy role supports prescription processing and medication distribution in a fulfillment pharmacy setting. The technician uses pharmacy processing systems to enter prescription information, resolve insurance billing issues, and assist with prescription exceptions. Responsibilities also include communicating with patients and physicians, escalating prescription questions to a pharmacist when needed, and helping ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and process prescription medications using the pharmacy fulfillment system.
• Enter patient demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
• Review and resolve insurance claim rejections and prescription billing issues.
• Research and address escalated patient concerns and prescription processing exceptions.
• Contact patients and physicians as needed to resolve prescription-related issues.
• Assist with inbound and outbound calls from patients and physicians.
• Refer prescription questions requiring professional interpretation to a pharmacist.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current pharmacy technician registration required by the state of operation.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate pharmacy processing systems.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.

Employment Details

• W2 temp-to-hire position with a high potential to transition into a permanent role.
• Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off.
• Consistent weekday schedule from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break.
