AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

• Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
• Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
• Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware

• Providing the first level networking devices to serve our customer racks entails various tasks: track network rack intake and delivery; work with onsite teams to request rack space, power, and cooling for network racks; partner with network engineers to ensure configurations are ready; and troubleshoot link and device issues within SLA.
• There are also console builds (and room builds) that are really exciting; you will be exposed to teams focused on providing more space and capacity for customer racks.
• Work with
  -Scaling peers to build higher-level networking devices.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
• Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
• Working in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments
• Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 1+ years of technical support experience, or experience in technical work related to computer systems and technology components

• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
• Knowledge of information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, technologies and architectures, IT service delivery principles and best practices
• Data center experience; industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
• Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters
• Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF)
