NW Deployment Build Lead, Infra - GND

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing infrastructure operations team. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of AWS’s next‑generation networks and assist in developing innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

• Scale support of several data‑center locations and provide day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management.
• Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
• Leverage experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks, as well as network implementation and troubleshooting.
• Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
• Data center experience and industry‑standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools including VFLs, OTDR and power meters.

Physical requirements:

regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds; work in environments that operate 24/7, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support; work in cramped, elevated and noisy settings; bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day; safely ascend and descend ladders, stairs and gangways.

Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required. You must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

Base pay ranges from $50,600 per year in the lowest geographic market to $113,200 per year in the highest. Pay is based on location and may vary depending on experience. Total compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments and other benefits.
