Overview

Data Center Technician.

Location:

Canton, MS. Contract Duration: 6 Months. Onsite.

Shifts:

Candidate must be flexible with days of the week and time of shifts.

Note:

This is not until offer stage.

• Be the primary resolver for the support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues.
• Create and maintain documentation on technologies supported and effectively pass down knowledge to junior staff.
• Have basic to intermediate system administration skills and, where applicable, take on remote system administration tasks in a virtual team.
• Automate tasks with scripts when necessary.
• Work autonomously to resolve most support issues; execute small projects independently and collaborate with the manager on larger local projects.
• Act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians.
• Understand all aspects of the equipment supported; make decisions independently when appropriate while paying attention to details and taking direction when given.

• 3+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 2+ years of computer networking experience.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating under pressure.
