• Required:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferred:
  Experience working with students in a school setting
• * Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate

• Students and/or any area designated by the appropriate supervisor

• Assist Principal and others in providing a friendly, courteous, and safe environment for students, so students can take full advantage of their educational experience

• Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel

• Help students develop and observe proper rules and procedures
• Monitor and maintain behavior and reinforce acceptable behavior,promotewholesome intra-school and community - school relations
• When needed, organize students into orderly groups to assist them in their assigned areas
• Inform the teacher or Principal of any serious infraction ofdisciplinary rulesby students
• Assist with setting up and using instructional equipment suchas computers,audiovisual equipment, and related technology
• Maintain the confidentiality of student/staff information and records, and student behavior
• Monitor activities in the hall, lavatory, recess, lunch, playground,classroom,or wherever assigned including, but not limited to,emergency drills and assemblies
• Deal with occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids, and students with various illnesses
• Interact with a diverse student population
• Handle interactions among unruly children
• Comply with all Plain Local Board of Education policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as directed

Position Type: Part Time-2 Hours

Salary: $14.34 Per Hour
