QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred:
Experience working with students in a school setting

SUPERVISES:

Students and/or any area designated by the appropriate supervisor

JOB GOAL:

Assist Principal and others in providing a friendly, courteous, and safe

environment for students, so students can take full advantage of their

educational experience

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the

Board’s policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel

PERFORMANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help students develop and observe proper rules and procedures
• Monitor and maintain behavior and reinforce acceptable behavior, promote wholesome intra-school and community - school relations
• When needed, organize students into orderly groups to assist them in their assigned areas
• Inform the teacher or Principal of any serious infraction of disciplinary rulesby students
• Assist with setting up and using instructional equipment such as computers,audiovisual equipment, and related technology
• Maintain the confidentiality of student/staff information and records, and student behavior
• Monitor activities in the hall, lavatory, recess, lunch, playground, classroom,or wherever assigned including, but not limited to, emergency drills and assemblies
• Deal with occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids,
• and students with various illnesses
• Interact with a diverse student population
• Handle interactions among unruly children
• Comply with all Plain Local Board of Education
• policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as directed

Position Type: Part Time-2 Hours

Salary: $14.34 Per Hour
