Senior Transportation Engineer

RETTEW is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to support our growing Transportation Team. This role is ideal for an experienced roadway/highway designer with strong PennDOT and PTC experience who enjoys collaborative, high-quality project delivery.

Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days from home

Eligible Locations:
Pennsylvania offices, Canton (OH), Morgantown (WV)

Candidates may live outside PA but must have strong PennDOT/PTC experience.

Provide advanced roadway design expertise, support project delivery across PennDOT and PTC projects, and strengthen technical and leadership capabilities within the Transportation Team.

• Lead roadway/highway design tasks, including alignments, profiles, corridor modeling, drainage, and traffic control.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates in compliance with PennDOT and PTC standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to support project execution.
• Mentor junior staff and review design work for quality.
• Collaborate across disciplines for integrated solutions.
• Contribute to design checks, QA/QC, and proposal support.

• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Open Roads (corridor modeling), InRoads, Project Wise.
• Ability to operate independently in a senior-level role.

• Experience with AutoTAB, PTC Tab Wizard, ECMS, and Guide
  
  SIGN.
• Experience mentoring or leading design tasks.
