Mechanical Designer

Job Description

The Mechanical Designer will collaborate closely with shop personnel to assist with the interpretation of engineering designs, create project bills of materials, and develop customer approval drawings. The role also involves requisitioning parts for purchase, quoting drawings, and performing various other duties as assigned.

• Review, plan and estimate time on job
• Create customer approval drawings
• Layout, design and detail CAD drawings
• Requisition to purchase parts
• Work closely with shop personnel assisting with interpretation of engineering designs
• Create project bills of material
• Quote drawings

• Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design (or equivalent work experience)
• 4 years of drafting experience including sheet metal fabrication
• 2 years minimum in switch gear design and CAD

Power distribution industry experience

This is a fully onsite contract to hire position based out of Canton, OH.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $31.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
